The Exiles, or Dispossessed, are a sect derived from the Banished, those fellows that have been casted out in the desolate lower planes of Carceri and Pandemonium. Carceri (also know to Primes as Tarterus) is a prison, a land of outcast. It's composed of 6 layers (Othrys, Cathrys, Minethys, Colothys, Porphatys and Agathys) that are nested inside each other like little wooden dolls. While a fiery red light brighten these layers, it emits no heat. So the temperature ranges from cool to bitter freezing.

Pandemonium is worse. It's probably the least hospitable of the lower planes. It's entirely made of great tunnels twisting through solid rock, and it's filled with howling winds. Those winds can send a cutter flying in these tunnels until death by too much head-banging... But some Banished live in this world, mostly on the first layer, Pandesmos. Sometimes there's caverns big enough to hold entire nations, and a cutter can find maybe an isolated city or citadel... But the winds... THE WINDS.....

This site is also an Hommage to Tony Diterlizzi, the main artist for the Planescape setting. He's simply a great guy. I'm in adoration for his work since the first time I've seen his creations in the Monstrous Compendium.
